Tom Crowley's Mass

from Crowley & Co / Tom Crowley

Comedian, performer and non-accredited celebrant Tom Crowley takes the format of the most popular one-hour show of all time and cynically repurposes it for his own frivolous comic ends. He’ll perform all the hits - hymns, readings, the intercessions, and more - as you’ve never seen them before!
Do you feel that the modern world is too hectic? Too confrontational? Too full of hatred? Yes, of course you do, of course you feel like that, everybody feels like that. Well, in that case, come and get saved or at least briefly distracted by the man who smashes together liturgy and comedy to create an uplifting, funny and profoundly inoffensive experience.
Tom Crowley is a writer, actor and comedian best known for playing Aston Lange in The Royals (E!), writing and performing (as Eric Chapman) in the Prix Europa-nominated podcast sitcom Wooden Overcoats, and as the playwright behind the stage adaptation of the Rocky Horror sequel, Shock Treatment (King’s Head, 2015). With his company Crowley & Co., Tom has hosted variety shows and written and directed a host of award-winning plays. For BBC Radio Comedy, he has been heard in The Beef and Dairy Network, The Brig Society and The Lentil Sorters. With the comedy group Sad Faces, Tom wrote and performed in six acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe as well as the group’s own BBC Radio 4Extra show, Four Sad Faces
